MY STORY
Hi! My name is Helena Larson. I am your life Strategist. I help empower women like yourself recover from emotional trauma, embrace your story , take control and create your best life.
My Journey began over 19 years ago in Singapore, as a teenager in a single mom family, growing in a dysfunctional family under the care of a dominant Asian narcissistic mother who judges me all my life. All I wanted to do was to get away and find someone who would truly love me for who I was unconditionally.
At 17, I quickly went from being a teenager, to a wife and quickly to a mother. By the time I was 21 , I had 3 kids , was in an unhappy marriage and knew that this wasn’t a life for me, it wasn’t how I envisioned my life to be. I knew that there is more to my life, I knew I had a purpose in this world. I gathered my courage and went in search for a purposeful life for me. Leaving was tough, as I was a frog in the well, I had a high school education, no job and no money. I had to learn to fend for myself. I had to learn how to write a resume, I had to learn to look for a job and be able to survive. What I quickly learn was the outside world was harsh, sometimes the very family you think was suppose to love you turned their back on you. But I knew staying content with my unhappy life and being miserable for the rest of my adult life is far worst than to take a chance on what else could be out there.
I quickly found myself in the career world of marketing and advertising, I was willing to learn anything and everything to empower myself with knowledge and if I didn’t understand, I would do my research and read up on the subject. Because of my passion for self development I found myself surpassing my peers in their careers.
Being a single mom was not fun, many times a lonely experience and it was during those dark times, that I realized that I am tougher that I thought I was and that I was capable of more, when I worked for it and believe that I could. Love found its way to me 3 years later when I went on a business visit to the U.S in Minnesota.
I met my husband, we dated for 2 years and I moved from Singapore to the U.S , we had to learn to live with very little, but we were happy. Moving to another country was hard, I had no family, nothing was familiar, I had no idea about the culture and had to learn this new life, what this had taught me is adaptability and being open to receiving new experiences.
My first job in the U.S was with a fortune 500 company. I had to learn about the American work culture which is so different from Singapore. But my willingness to work hard and not being afraid to get my hands dirty and learn all that I can to develop myself and staying humble had helped me get to where I am today. Over a span of 9 years, I went through every role in the Retail and worked my way where I am at as branch manager overseeing the full operation and being a leader for my team .
Over the years, I had learnt so much through my own life lessons in my personal life as well as my fair share of lessons in the corporate world. I realized what my calling is, and what my past experiences meant and how I was meant to pay it forward by empowering another woman. To let them know that they don’t have to be a victim of life, they have freewill, that they can make the choice to live a full life being their best self.
Her Empowered Life is all about lifestyle, Mindset, and how-tos of being an empowering woman. This is the place to be empowered. Her Empowered Life had empowered countless through her intuitive coaching.
